Before You Ride
Good news — most people are ready to ride without any hassle. We’ll walk you through the basics, provide safety gear, and get you on the water quickly. There are just a few Ohio rules to be aware of depending on age and experience.
Quick Basics

Ohio has age and boating education requirements for operating jet skis (personal watercraft). These mostly apply to younger riders or those without prior boating experience.

Do I Need a Boating Course?
If you were born after a certain year or are under a certain age, you may need a boating safety course. Not sure? Don’t stress — we’ll help you figure it out.

Common Questions
Do I need experience?
No. Most riders are beginners. We’ll show you what you need to know before you go out.
How old do I have to be?
Depends on Ohio rules. Some younger riders may need supervision or a course. Check the ODNR link above or just call us. You do however have to be at least 21 or older to rent.
What should I bring?
ID, payment, and anything you don’t mind getting a little wet. life jackets water shoes and wet shorts will be provided…However you may bring your own. and MUST be warn while riding NO EXCEPTIONS…its the LAW.
What if the weather sucks?
If conditions aren’t safe, we’ll work with you to reschedule. We’re not sending you out into a storm.
Is this complicated?
No. It sounds more official than it actually is. Most people show up, get a quick rundown, and go have fun.
